Cellular plastic

Cellular polyethylene is a material that has seen extensive developments in recent years. With all the new properties that have been developed – from semi-closed (very soft) to almost rock hard varieties, high fire resistance and improved temperature durability – today this material can be used for a very broad range of applications. This type of material is suitable for seals, insulators and packaging materials, to name but a few applications.

Cellular plastic provides a seal against condensation, cold, moisture and water and is also available in UL-94 standard fulfilling strict fire resistance requirements. Sport and leisure is another application area; one where it is used as a shock absorber in sports equipment, camping mats and yoga mats. It is also used in draught excluders, shock-absorbing applications and packaging. For cost-effective packaging solutions, we recommend non-cross-linked polythene with or without antistatic properties.
