Abrasion rubber
Abrasive rubber is a group name of rubbers with high wear and abrasive resistance. What we mean with abrasive rubber is the material blend of Natural- and SBR rubber. The material is used in friction products, conveyor belts, shock absorbers and in sweep-, road-machines and excavators because it does not crumble the same way other rubbers do. The rubber is a good alternative against acids and in outdoor applications. Abrasive rubber is a very resilient and compact material, in applications where a pure natural rubber is too soft the abrasive rubber might be better suited. To tell the two different hardnesses of the material apart the softer material in 40 shore is red and has an abrasion of 110mm³ (5 N). The black, harder material is 60 shore and has a abrasion of 120mm³ (10 N).
